“One person’s craziness is another person’s reality”

Mohandas K Gandhi

Lawyer, Anti-Colonial Nationalist and Political Ethicist

From being a small lawyer from Porbandar, Mohandas (otherwise known as Mohātmā) campaigned for civil rights and

for Britain to leave India. His protests sometimes saw him imprisoned for years at a time but he continued to protest

non-violently by taking up hunger strikes within prision.

Gandhi's birthday (2nd October) is now a national holiday in India known as ‘Gandhi Jayanti’. He is also known as Bapu,

this means father in Gujarati.

Mohandas is an inspiration because of the way he he fought for the right

thing but he done it in such a way that no-one was hurt (although this

may not have been the case because of the police).

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony”

P!nk

P!nk’s songs have a reason behind them, they show experiences that people go through in their lives but are afraid to talk

about. Whether the topics are abuse or politics she says things that many people can identify with.

“My definition of freedom is knowing who you are, and then being it.

No matter what anyone else is doing. And naked parties of course”

Stephen Hawking

Theoretical Physicist, Cosmologist and Author

Even though Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with early-onset slow-progressing Motor Neurone Disease when he was

just 21 years old, he continued to do what he was fascinated by and loved.

He was known as one of the most prolific scientists in the world despite being paralysed and has studied ‘The General

Theory of Relativity’ and created ‘The Second Law of Black Hole Dynamics’.

Hawking shows people that it doesn’t matter what is going on

in your life you can achieve what you believe is the impossible.

Hawking wrote books and had films and plenty of TV series based on him; he also appeared in TV series, these include:

A Brief History of Time (Publication- 1998)

“I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined,

and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road”
